Mission
Build a system where users can own their identity instead of handing it to centralized platforms. The aim was to create a simple but functional decentralized identity layer that proves how identity can be verified publicly without exposing private data.

Challenge
Identity systems are usually tied to centralized databases, which creates a single point of failure, privacy leaks, and zero user control. The real difficulty was designing a flow where: identities are generated and anchored on-chain, metadata lives on decentralized storage, verification happens without trusting any server, and the frontend can resolve and display identity data directly from these decentralized components.

Goal
Deliver a minimal but complete DID system where a user can: Generate a blockchain-backed decentralized identifier (DID). Store their identity metadata securely using IPFS or similar networks. Prove identity ownership through a smart contract. Display their public identity information through a clean UI with no backend dependencies. The final outcome demonstrates a fully user-owned identity pipeline, showcasing practical implementation of decentralized identities and on-chain verification.
